Mac Miller Tribute
My recent work, I am very happy with how I executed this tribute to Mac Miller, serving as a complex multimedia tribute, successfully weaving together a diverse range of artistic techniques into a cohesive, surreal portrait. I really enjoyed the technical challenge of blending traditional and digital textures, contrasting the fine, fabric like grain of the pink suit jacket against smooth digital color fills and sharp, graphic line work. Integrating distinct visual styles from the clean, stylized portraiture of Mac to the abstract, psychedelic illustrations emerging from his mind allowed me to push my boundaries in complex conceptual storytelling. Furthermore, experimenting with typography and atmospheric elements, such as the textured stencil text and the soft, dissipating smoke effect, gave me a great opportunity to play with mixed media design. Seeing all these disparate techniques, geometric patterns, and bold color fields harmonize to honor his creative legacy makes this one of my most rewarding and multifaceted projects

The best example of my hybrid work style bridging the gap between reality and illustration by seamlessly integrating a digital character into an original photograph, Executing this mixed-media approach required careful attention to environmental lighting and color theory; I am particularly pleased with how I applied a warm, sepia-toned gradient overlay across the entire scene to cast an eerie, atmospheric glow that unifies the flat digital colors with the gritty textures of the subway station. Grounding the character visually by rendering realistic, soft drop shadows at her feet and carefully matching her perspective to the existing architecture was a major technical win. Seeing the bold, heavy contours of the animated figure coexist naturally with the industrial geometry of the New York City transit system makes this a deeply rewarding exploration of urban isolation and surreal storytelling
